Ricoh Unveils Rugged G900 II Camera Tailored for Challenging Work Environments
Ricoh Imaging Company, Ltd. has introduced the RICOH G900 II, a robust digital camera designed specifically for demanding work environments. Engineered to withstand extreme conditions, the G900 II offers exceptional durability, making it a valuable tool for industries such as construction, disaster relief, and healthcare.
The RICOH G900 II is built to endure the harshest of environments, withstanding water depths of up to 20 metres, falls from heights of up to 2.1 metres, and temperatures as low as -10°C. Its body is not only waterproof and dustproof, but also shock- and chemical-resistant, offering reliable performance even in the most challenging conditions. Additionally, the camera’s reinforced design includes protective elements like reinforced glass and crushproof construction capable of withstanding pressures of up to 100kgf.
Equipped with a 20-megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor, the G900 II captures high-resolution images even in low-light environments. Its advanced imaging capabilities are complemented by a wide range of features aimed at simplifying on-site data management. The Camera Memo function, for instance, allows users to attach text or audio notes to images, while the barcode scanning feature facilitates seamless integration with data management systems.
The G900 II also includes a password-protected Camera Lock function, enhancing security by restricting access to certain features. This is particularly useful in sensitive environments where unauthorised access to images and camera functions needs to be controlled.
Further enhancing its utility, the G900 II doubles as a Full-HD webcam, offering superior image quality for online meetings when connected to a computer. This function, combined with the camera’s macro shooting capabilities and built-in Ring Light, makes it an ideal choice for detailed presentations and remote inspections.
The camera’s GPS functionality is another standout feature, allowing for precise geotagging of images, which is invaluable in industries where accurate location data is critical. Additionally, the G900 II’s large 3.0-inch LCD monitor, with anti-reflection coating, ensures clear visibility even under bright sunlight, making it well-suited for outdoor use.
Ricoh’s latest offering also boasts a host of user-friendly features, including a high-capacity 6.5GB internal memory, 4K video recording, and advanced shake reduction technology. With its extensive range of functionalities and rugged build, the RICOH G900 II is poised to become an indispensable tool for professionals working in tough environments.
